The funds obtained through the auction of KmikeyM stock are held by the firm for future use in the facilitation of projects and operational expenses. These funds are currently held in a low-yield savings account. In an effort to maximize shareholder wealth, the firm is considering transferring these funds to a higher yield account.
Rather than spend our own time choosing stocks and bonds, the firm would prefer to consult the experts. We have invested personal funds with the Betterment team (www.betterment.com) and achieved an 11.9% return since our initial November 2011 investment. Historically, their method of investment has resulted in an annual return averaging 6.37% over the last 17 years.
Approval of this proposal would result in up to 75% of the KmikeyM balance to be invested in a Betterment account set to 70% Stocks and 30% Treasury Bonds.
